Welcome to the Northern California Coast and Crescent City's #1 Rated Hotel
Thank you for visiting our website. As you browse, you're sure to see a very different kind of hotel, true to our historical region. Crescent City was established in 1854. The area boasts not just one, but two lighthouses; Battery Point Lighthouse, and St. George Reef Lighthouse. And not just one, but two distinct beaches; South Beach, just steps from our hotel, and Pebble Beach on the north end of town The city takes its name from the crescent shaped beach and harbor. The logging and fishing industries dominated the area until the late 1970s. Today, the area is home to environmentally conscience tourism and natural history awareness.
We pride ourselves on our small town atmosphere. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the friendly manner of our citizens. It is common place to see our Chief of Police or the Mayor greeting diners in our local restaurants.
Crescent City has a temperate climate and we sit along the ocean. We recommend that even in summer, you bring a good sweater. Remember, hot coffee, teas and chocolates are always available in our dining room, and our beds are always warm.
